How It Works
How It Works
At New Frontier Construction LLC, we believe that construction shouldn’t be complicated or overwhelming—it should be clear, collaborative, and focused on quality outcomes. Whether you’re building a new pole barn, planning fencing for livestock, or preparing land for a larger project, we’ve built our process to be as simple and transparent as possible.
From your first call to the final walk-through, we keep communication open, timelines realistic, and expectations aligned. On this page, we’ll walk you through how it works—so you know exactly what to expect when working with us.
Step 1: Get in Touch
The first step is reaching out to see how we can help you with your next project.
You can reach out to us by phone, email, or through the contact form on our website. When you contact us, we’ll ask a few basic questions about your project:
- What are you building or planning?
- Where is the site located?
- What’s your ideal timeline?
- Do you have plans, sketches, or inspiration?
- Do you have a budget in mind?
This initial contact is free and zero-pressure. It’s our chance to understand your goals and help you decide if we’re the right fit for your project. The next step is a site visit/ estimate which is also free.
Step 2: Site Visit or Consultation
Next, we schedule a site visit, depending on your location and the nature of your project.
If your project involves land prep, fencing, or new construction, a physical site visit helps us assess:
- Soil condition and terrain
- Access points for equipment
- Drainage and elevation
- Utility locations and obstacles
- Measurements for accurate estimating
We’ll take photos, measurements, and notes so we can give you a fair and accurate quote.
For remote or early-stage planning, we can consult using satellite images, photos, and rough sketches you provide.
Step 3: Project Proposal & Estimate
Based on our assessment, we’ll create a custom proposal and detailed estimate. This document includes:
- Project scope with what is included in the bid
- Materials and construction methods
- Timeline from start to finish
- Permitting and inspection needs
- Cost breakdown and payment plans
Our goal is to provide transparency and clear communication for the whole project. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, make changes, and approve or adjust before signing.
We do not charge for estimates, and we don’t push for sales. We prefer long-term relationships built on trust, not pressure.
Step 4: Permits, Scheduling & Planning
Once you approve the proposal and give the green light, we move into the planning phase. During this time, we:
- Pull required locates and/or permits, as applicable
- Finalize materials, vendors, and schedules
- Confirm availability for subcontractors as needed per project
- Notify utility companies if any digging is required
- Order custom parts or special materials
We’ll also finalize a start date and communicate expected milestones so you know what’s happening every step of the way.
Step 5: Groundbreaking & Site Preparation
Every project starts with a clean, safe job site. Our crew will begin by:
- Marking the construction area
- Clearing and grading land (if required)
- Digging post holes, trenches, etc.
- Setting stakes and layout strings
- Bringing in equipment and material deliveries
For fencing projects, we’ll determine gate locations, post spacing, and corner braces.
For pole barns and buildings, we’ll set post anchors, dig footings, and pour concrete (if applicable).
This phase is critical for long-term durability, drainage, and structural success. We take our time here to do it right.
Step 6: Construction Phase
This is where your vision starts to take shape. We handle all construction phases in-house or with trusted subcontractors we know well.
Fencing
We set posts, run line wire or rails, install gates, and ensure fence lines are level, square, and properly tensioned.
Pole barns and buildings
We erect the structure from the ground up:
Set posts and frame walls; Install trusses, purlins, and sheathing; Add roofing and siding; Install doors, windows, and hardware; Finish trim and optional insulation
Step 7: Final Walkthrough & Punch List
Once construction is complete, we schedule a final walkthrough with you. During this phase, we:
- Review all project elements together
- Confirm that everything is built to spec
- Create a punch list (if needed) for minor adjustments
- Ensure your satisfaction before closing the job
This is your chance to ask questions, inspect the work, and confirm that you’re happy with the outcome.
It is our guarantee you are 100% satisfied as discussed during the project proposal phase.
Step 8: Payment & Project Closeout
With your approval, we’ll finalize any outstanding invoices per the payment schedule agreed upon. We’ll also provide maintenance tips or follow-up recommendations.
We value trust and transparency, which is why our payment schedules are clear, fair, and aligned with project progress.
Step 9: Follow-Up & Future Support
Even after the job is done, we remain available for:
- Material warranty-related issues
- Maintenance support or repairs
- Future additions or upgrades
- Project referrals and testimonials
We’re proud to say many of our clients come back for more projects—or send friends and family our way. That trust means everything to us.
